The Brünnhilde

A companion cocktail to our first issue: diminutive, but not to be trifled with. Sweet and tart. An upper and a downer all at once.

1.5 oz. whiskey
Juice from 1/2 of a lime
2 tbsp. honey syrup (to taste)
3/4 tbsp. matcha powder
edible glitter (optional)

Combine the whiskey, lime juice, honey syrup, and matcha powder in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake until your hands are very cold, then pour into a small, precious glass of your choice. Top with a lime twist and a sprinkle of edible glitter if you’re feeling it.

For a non-alcoholic version, omit the whiskey. Top with a little seltzer.

To make honey syrup, combine three tablespoons of honey with three tablespoons of boiling water. Mix until combined. Allow it to cool a little before adding to the ice-filled cocktail shaker.
